Jewel Care
The value of a jewel depends on how you wear it and how you take care of it.
Our creations are designed to be worn every day and on all occasions and rarely require extraordinary maintenance, especially if they are kept with care.
Small precautions
Since these are precious objects, it is advisable to observe some simple precautions that will preserve their beauty and shine over time.
Normal daily use and the action of external agents (air humidity, temperature, pollution, contact with cosmetics, skin perspiration) can contribute to reducing the brilliance of silver or bronze surfaces and to modifying the original appearance of the surface finishes towards darker and more opaque colours.
When and how quickly this happens is not predictable, because it is subject to several factors, however it is possible to use small precautions that will help us keep this phenomenon under control.
- Limit contact of jewelry with detergents, creams, perfumes and water (especially swimming pool water which has a higher concentration of chlorine);
- avoid direct contact with any substance containing alcohol.
By paying attention to these simple precautions, it will be possible to preserve your jewelry in the best possible way.
Cleaning procedure
To maintain the shine of the product, it is good practice to regularly wipe the surface with a soft cloth (included in the package), paying particular attention to the finish of the jewel and any stones.
If the jewel is particularly worn, it is possible to use non-abrasive products specifically designed and used in jewelry for cleaning.
In fact, most commercial products for cleaning silver/bronze can be used without risks, as long as they are used properly.
Finally, we recommend that you pay particular attention to products containing:
- ammonia
- alcohol
- acids
- Chemicals
These products may be too harsh on your jewelry.
